Once again, the event will take place at Ottavio's, in Camarillo on Monday, November 7th, 2011. The family looks forward to sharing treasured memories with friends while celebrating and honoring Ottavio's life. We currently have raised $76,000! My name is Julie Thomason. My father Ottavio Belvedere was diagnosed with Mesothelioma in April of 2006. He was sent to Dr. Cameron. A doctor that is well known for his own views on treating this cancer and a doctor who extensively researches ways to keep Meso patients living with this disease. In May my father had his operation to clear his lungs. He came out of it very well and soon started his chemo and radiation treatments. By December he was looking better and gaining weight. After the first of the year he got very sick again and we learned the radiation had damaged his esophagus and he was soon put on a feeding tube. My fathers goal in the beginning was to make his 50th anniversary . After 9 long months he celebrated his 50th with my mom and 5 days later he passed. He also passed 3 days short of our first benefit fundraiser for The Meso Center. This November 7th fundraiser at Ottavio's Restaurant will mark our 5th and final fundraiser of this kind. To date we have raised over 80,000 for the center with our goal being 100,000. Please help us by making a reservation for either lunch or dinner or taking food to go. All proceeds for the day will be donated. Dr. Cameron and staff will be here to answer questions, give information and take donations. We will also have music for the evening.
